Sporting Bengal Football Academy (SBFA)
The Sporting Bengal Football Academy (SBFA) has been set up to provide quality structured football coaching to local children from Tower Hamlets and neighbouring boroughs who have the aspirations to play professional football in the future.
The SBFA aims to provide the following:
1. Regular structured coaching sessions to all children in the academy
2. Play matches with professional clubs academy teams
3. Improve football skills and learn self discipline & teamwork
4. Play in regional/national tournaments
5. Send children for trials with professional clubs
The SBFA is headed by ex-professional player Anwar Uddin, who has played for many clubs including West Ham and Dagenham & Redbridge. Anwar is there every week coaching the children to improve their football skills. All the coaches are qualified and CRB checked.
The Academy is open to all children 6-16 year olds. At the early age we take all children regardless of ability as we know with the right coaching they can improve quickly.
Day of Training
The Academy training is held every Thursday 5:30-7pm at Mile End Stadium, 11-a-side astro-pitch.
The first 2 sessions are free for all children so they can try out the academy training and parents can judge the set up.
Afterwards if someone decides to join, there is a yearly membership fee which is fixed even if you join in the middle of the year. Plus there is a small weekly subs. As paid a member every child will receive a rain jacket as part of their membership.
Anybody wishing to join the Academy, please contact Kamrul Islam
